Common questions

Clear answers.
Better first conversations.

Equipment finance is easier to navigate when the basic facts are clear from the beginning. Here is where Hillcrest starts.

01How do I start a conversation?

Use the contact or buyer inquiry form to share your name, business name, best contact information, and basic equipment details. A dealer can also ask about the inventory program directly.

02What equipment does Hillcrest discuss?

Hillcrest works around construction, landscaping, tree service, towing, material handling, municipal, and other commercial equipment. Those categories are examples, not the only starting point.

03Can I ask about used equipment?

Yes. Age, hours, condition, seller, value, and the intended business use of used equipment help shape a more practical review.

04What if the seller is an auction or private party?

Bring the purchase source into the conversation early. Auction and private seller transactions can require different details from a dealer purchase, so the seller context matters.

05What information should I include?

For an initial public inquiry, share the business name, contact information, type of equipment, make and model if known, estimated price, seller, and what the equipment will be used for. Do not send SSNs, dates of birth, bank details, tax IDs, credit reports, or documents through the public form.

06Will the public inquiry pull my credit?

The public inquiry form does not request credit information or credit authorization. Hillcrest will explain any next steps before requesting information beyond the basic inquiry.

07Do you publish rates, approvals, or funding times?

No. Those outcomes depend on the full request, underwriting, lender review, and final documentation. Hillcrest will discuss the relevant facts once it understands the equipment and business context.

08How does the dealer program differ from a buyer inquiry?

FundLOT helps dealers prequalify eligible equipment, show estimated monthly payments on their website, and keep the journey with their dealership. Asset eligibility and buyer credit approval remain separate. The buyer inquiry is a separate path for a business evaluating an equipment purchase.

09Can I use my dealership’s existing website?

FundLOT is designed to support a branded Used Equipment Catalog using your dealership’s own domain.

10Who adds and maintains the equipment?

Your salespeople and managers can add photos, descriptions, pricing, and equipment details.

11Does every machine qualify for financing?

No. Equipment must meet applicable financing eligibility guidelines. Buyer financing remains subject to credit approval and final review.

12How much does FundLOT cost?

FundLOT is being designed around an affordable monthly subscription, with financing related revenue generated from completed transactions. Final pricing is being established.
